Јournal of the Blue Shield

The Јournal of the Blue Shield is published annually, by the Macedonian National Committee of the Blue Shield from Skopje. It publishes papers from the field of heritology, protection of cultural heritage and other disciplines related to cultural heritage.

After a decade of work as a unique non-governmental organization, acting under the auspices of UNESCO in the field of cultural heritage protection in state of danger in Republic of Macedonia, MNC Blue Shield launched its annual electronic journal. The papers are published bilingually, in Macedonian and in English.

The priority for publishing in the journal is given to original papers by Macedonian and foreign authors, that deal with cultural heritage and its protection on the territory of Macedonia. Other original contributions, related to the wider region of South-Eastern Europe can also be published.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
